What to Expect: Our Process

At Shade & Stone, we believe in making the entire process simple, stress-free and tailored to your needs. Here’s how it works from consultation to installation:

We’ll find a convenient time for your in-home consultation, typically within 1–3 days of your first contact.

You’ll work directly with the owner. Jim will schedule your visit and he’ll be the one who shows up. Expect on-time arrival and professional courtesy to all both human and furry in your home.

During your consultation, Jim will walk you through all your product options and offer expert recommendations based on your space, style and needs.

You’ll get a written quote on the spot- no guesswork or surprises. The estimate is valid for 30 days, so you have time to decide.

When you're ready, we’ll go over the timeline and collect a 50% deposit to get your order started.

Your order is personally managed by the owner to ensure everything matches the decisions made during your consultation, down to the last detail.

On installation day, the owner returns to complete the job. We don’t use day laborers, only skilled, reliable work from approved installers who care about the outcome. 

After installation, we’ll do a final walkthrough with you to demonstrate how everything works and answer any questions. At this point, the remaining balance is collected --- and you’ll get a beautifully finished space you’ll love!
