Meet the Owner: Jim Micheli
With over 11 years in the window treatment industry, Shade & Stone’s owner Jim Micheli has seen and installed it all. From high-volume new construction homes to one-of-a-kind custom builds, multifamily developments to commercial spaces, Jim has personally overseen thousands of installations.

Every project has one thing in common: Jim’s commitment to doing the work right.
Jim’s journey in this industry started in 2014 with a national new-construction window treatment company, where he rose through the ranks to become the Senior Installation Manager for Eastern Florida. During his time there, Jim trained teams and led installs from North Carolina to Nevada - learning firsthand what quality, consistency and accountability really look like.
Jim broke into the window treatment industry by starting out in the new construction side, working on projects for some of Florida’s largest builders, including Lennar, Pulte and DR Horton. That background gave Jim a deep understanding of how homes are built and more importantly, how to install with precision in any environment.
Jim launched Shade & Stone in 2025 to be a business focused on blending high-end, turnkey window treatments with the same expertise and care in the exterior shading and commercial window treatment markets.
But beyond the products or the technical know-how, what really sets Shade & Stone apart is this: You work with Jim from start to finish.
